Opportunistic infections of the eye are extremely rare, but when present, they are diagnostic dilemmas. If undiagnosed, these infections can lead to blindness and even death. Dr. Chong will be discussing his experience with opportunistic infections during the AIDS era, and how strategies to diagnose and treat these difficult diseases evolved to present day standard of care.
