Dr. Sebag Named Most Productive Research Author

A recent study published in International Ophthalmology (https://doi.org/10.1007/s10792-025-03492-8), analyzed publications on vitreous and floaters from 1999 to 2023, concluding that “the annual number of publications and citations in the world dramatically increased” and that “The efficacy and safety of management for vitreous floaters turned out to be a recent research hot spot”. The study identified that “The most productive author was Jerry Sebag from the USA” (Abstract, Conclusion, & Table 4). We at VMR are very pleased and proud of this record of productivity and will endeavor to further basic science understanding and improve our clinical management [https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S2468653025002210] of vision degrading myodesopsia from vitreous floaters.

We at VMR in Huntington Beach, California [https://VMRinstitute.com/] are grateful to all the patients who participated in our research, and especially those individuals who supported our work via donations to the VMR Research Foundation [https://www.VDMresearch.org/]. Our commitment to improve the lives of sufferers continues, as we further our knowledge and improve our care on behalf of all afflicted by vitreous floaters.
