Dr. Sebag was a visiting dignitary at the AIER Eye Hospital in Shanghai, China. This flagship facility of the AIER Group (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aier_Eye_Hospital#cite_note-:2-4) provides specialized eye care in a modern, well-equipped 17 story facility with the full range of outpatient services as well as operating rooms and hospital beds for in-patient services. On this day, Dr. Sebag delivered an invited lecture on vitreous diagnostics and therapeutics, highlighting the evaluation and treatment of vision degrading myodesopsia from vitreous floaters. He then attended a hospital-wide ceremony that introduced the new President of the Shanghai AIER Eye Hospital, Professor Yuntao Hu, MD, PhD who is currently Professor and Vice Chair of Eye Center in Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital of Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. Dr. Sebag was asked to address the assembly and on behalf of Ophthalmologists in the US and throughout the world, he wished the new president well, sharing advice for career development with young doctors in the audience. Dr. Sebag presented Professor Hu with an inscribed book on vitreous which he authored in 2014 and that was recently translated into Chinese.
